Twice a Stranger

A film about the population exchange between Greece and Turkey in 1922-24: the story of people uprooted from their homes and about their common experience of being “Twice a Stranger”.
The documentary includes interviews with author Bruce Clark and historians Thanos Veremis, Renee Hirschon, Ayhan Aktar, Giles Milton, Sir M. Lewellyn Smith and Fikret Adanir and as well as testimonies of Greek and Turkish refugees from Cappadocia, Smyrna, Crete, Mytilini, western Macedonia and the Pontus.
